Healthy eating is all about balance – eating the right amount to match how active you are, and enjoying a variety of foods, so you get all the nutrients you need.

To function properly, the human body requires over 50 nutrients. No one single food or drink can provide us with all these nutrients at once, which is why eating a variety of foods in the right amounts each day is important to good health.

Great! You found a job that you're interested in applying for! Below is the step-by-step process that you can expect.

Application

Once you’ve submitted your online application, our Talent Acquisition Team will review the information you’ve provided to make sure you're a qualified candidate for the role.

Interview

The next phase is a series of individual interviews, first with our Talent Acquisition Team – either by phone or face-to-face. From there, you may be invited to interview with the appropriate line manager. At this point, we’ll be looking at your potential fit with our culture, as well as exploring your achievements and motivations. Some roles require that we conduct assessments, such as writing tests, case presentations and more. You'll be notified if this particular element is required. Throughout, we’ll use competency-based interviewing techniques that draw on your experience and real examples from your professional life.

Job offer

Congratulations on reaching this stage! We’ll welcome you to the Nestlé Canada team and provide you with valuable information introducing you to our Nestlé world. First, our Talent Acquisition Team will extend a conditional offer, conduct background and reference checks, and if cleared, we move to a final offer. Reaching this stage generally takes about six to eight weeks from the time of application.

Once you've accepted the role, here's what you can expect:

Orientation

As a new Nestlé Canada employee you'll likely have questions about your job and the company in general. To help you embark on your journey and feel at home, you'll participate in an HR Orientation Program, as well as a Functional Onboarding Program with your line manager. Throughout, you’ll have the support you need from Human Resources, your Line Manager and the business team. Our goal is to get you up to speed as quickly as possible to ensure you are motivated and successful in your new role.

As part of your orientation, you'll also be assigned a ‘buddy’ to help with your integration. Your ‘buddy’ isn’t a supervisor or a formal mentor, but a colleague who can offer support by answering your questions and helping you get settled.

For over 150 years, we’ve created a fulfilling work environment that emphasizes individual responsibility, opportunity and autonomy. We’ll encourage your professional growth through continuous development, on-the-job training, and the potential for overseas assignments. We’ll also support your personal growth with a people-focused culture and a flexible and diverse working environment.

We encourage our people to view their career as a journey - to think long-term about how they broaden their exposure and deepen their skills. Adopt this mindset and you’ll find we are equally forward-thinking, recognizing your career priorities will change over time.

Excelling at Nestlé Canada means sharing our passion for our purpose of enhancing quality of life and contributing to a healthier future. It also means living up to our exemplary values which are rooted in respect for ourselves, others, diversity and the future.
