Charitable Partners
Nestlé Canada wants to make a real difference in the communities where we live and work. Through forging partnerships with trusted and effective organizations across Canada, we’re able to achieve this.
Our National Partnerships
At Nestlé Canada, we’re guided by our purpose of unlocking the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come. Creating Shared Value (CSV) is the way we set out to achieve that purpose and, in our communities, we recognize that supporting Canadians starts in our own neighbourhoods. That’s why, we direct our charitable and non-profit support toward programs and organizations in Canada that focus on increasing access to healthy food, promoting community well-being and improving planetary health.
To ensure that we are making the greatest impact in our focus areas, we work directly with our key charitable partners. This includes Kids Help Phone, Food Banks Canada, The Grocery Foundation, Canadian Red Cross, and Ocean Wise.

Kids Help Phone
Nestlé Canada is a founding sponsor of Kids Help Phone, a national, bilingual, 24-hour, toll-free telephone and online counselling service that provides the immediate support children and youth need and deserve. It is completely confidential and anonymous. Every day, Kids Help Phone counsellors speak to kids from across Canada who have questions and concerns about issues like bullying, school, relationships, suicide and abuse.
Nestlé Canada is also a proud sponsor of Kids Help Phone's annual Walk So Kids Can Talk, the organization's major national fundraising event. John Carmichael, President & CEO, Nestle Canada, sits on the board of directors and is committed to supporting Kids Help Phone in its vision of a future where every young person in Canada will access the support they need, in the way they need it most.
For 28 years, Nestlé Canada also hosts a golf tournament for Kids Help Phone that bring together Nestlé suppliers and customers. Since its inception, the tournament has raised over $9.5 million.
Food Banks Canada
Nobody should have to face hunger alone. Nestlé Canada partners with Food Banks Canada, a national coalition that represents the food bank community across Canada and co-ordinates the donations and transportation of food. This organization promotes public education on hunger in Canada and upholds a code of ethics to promote the dignity of food bank users.
Nestlé Canada is committed to supporting their mission in providing national leadership to relieve hunger today and prevent hunger tomorrow.
Since 2019, Nestlé has participated in Food Banks Canada’s After the Bell program. This program provides our employees with an opportunity to volunteer helping to provide nutritious, child-friendly food packs throughout the summer when school-centered supports are not available. In addition to our financial contributions, we also donate food products which is directly provided to Canadians in our communities that need it most. In 2023, we donated over $6 million worth of product to Food Banks Canada.
The Grocery Foundation
Nestlé Canada partners with The Grocery Foundation, an organization that has a vision to ensure no hungry kids at school. The Grocery Foundation embraces teamwork and cooperation to tackle the problem, and we have partnered with them on various programs such as their Night to Nurture Gala and the Toonies for Tummies Program.
In 2024, Nestlé Canada and Nesquik proudly supported the Toonies for Tummies Campaign in an effort to raise funds and awareness for student nutrition and food insecurity in Canada. Hosted by The Grocery Foundation, the campaign helps fund over 3,000 programs in cities and small towns across Canada. Currently it’s estimated that over 2 million children in Canada are living without guaranteed access to nutritious school meals and it’s through school nutrition programs that Toonies for Tummies can support school-aged children across Ontario, Western and Atlantic Canada.
The Canadian Red Cross
Supporting our local and global communities in need is essential during a natural disaster. We share concerns and work closely with the Canadian Red Cross to provide immediate and effective assistance to those affected by emergency situations during times of crisis. We support the efforts of the Canadian Red Cross and work with them during times of disasters, by providing support through financial donations from Nestle and our employees.
Ocean Wise
In these changing times, we're working to build a positive future. This belief fuels our desire to use our global scale, resources and expertise to contribute to a healthier future for people and the planet. Since 2022, Nestlé Canada has partnered with Ocean Wise, a global conservation organization on a mission to build communities that take meaningful action to protect and restore our ocean.
In 2023, Nestlé Canada participated in our second Shoreline Champions Cleanup with Ocean Wise. Employees from across Canada volunteered through our Nestlé Cares Clean to remove litter from our communities, and collectively demonstrate how our small actions can have a significant impact on creating a sustainable future and strengthening our neighbourhoods.
