Frequently Asked Questions
Internship (temporary contract): These programs have a general educational purpose, a practical element of learning and a temporary character. Internships are a four-month program for students to get experience linked to their studies.
Associate Program (perm contract): This program is designed to support those who have graduated from school to start their career in a specific function or scheme which will provide them with the skills they need in order to kick-start their career. This role is a three-year rotational program where you will be responsible for core finance functions through various rotations in both our factory and office settings. You will gain experience in the Nestlé Finance core functions, build your business acumen, leadership capabilities, support your development and long-term success at Nestlé.
Our internship program is a four-month program, and at the end of the four months you will have real life experience in the industry to support your ongoing education.
Our associate program is a three-year rotation program, and at the end of the three years you will have an ongoing permanent job with Nestlé.

- Step 1: Click on the “Join Our Talent Network” tab in the blue box on the bottom right-hand side of the homepage
- Step 2: Create your profile or sign-in to your existing profile
- Step 3: Click on the ‘Options’ tab in the top right-hand corner and select “Job Alerts”
- Step 4: Click on “Create New Job Alerts” and type in key words and locations that are of interest to you, Should you need to remove existing job alerts you can do this by clicking the delete button listed on the right-hand side of each job alert.
To be eligible, you should be currently enrolled in a university program. You'll also need to be legally entitled to work in Canada.
The program starts in May each year and ends at the end of August.
Our development day will be completely virtual and managed via the video-conferencing tool, vFairs. If you are invited to the development day, we will send all the information you need via email, with links to the appropriate virtual meetings. You’ll experience both group and individual exercises where you will meet Nestlé employees and other candidates.
The objective of the development day is for you to run through various activities to showcase the skills and behaviours needed to have a successful Internship within Nestlé. Throughout the day you will go through an individual exercise, a group activity, and a panel group interview.
We do recommend that you take some time to visit our website www.nestle.ca and familiarize yourself with our company purpose, values and products.
For the information session, be sure to come along with any questions you might have, and actively participate in discussions.
For all virtual sessions, make sure you have a quiet space where you won’t be distracted.
Development day dates are fixed and unfortunately, cannot be changed.
We consider this on a case-by-case basis depending on our business needs.

Understand what the position is looking for by reviewing the job description. Ensure you can showcase how you would be successful in a program like this by providing examples and showcasing your strengths and achievements.
If there is a Case Study, details will be provided ahead of your scheduled interview to prepare. During the interview, the assessor will allocate time for you to present your case and ask any questions. Please note that there is no ‘right’ answer to the case study. We are most interested in your approach and thinking.
For all programs, positions will be located in various locations across Canada. Should you be successful, we will discuss relocation destinations with you. We'll discuss our policies with successful candidates.
Yes – should you meet the requirements for our internship and associate programs you are welcome to apply to one or more positions that are relevant to your field.
No, to be eligible for an internship you must still be enrolled in a university or equivalent-level school.
Yes, all Nestlé internships and associate programs are paid.
Internship & associate opportunities are posted in the fall. We will be considering applicants as they apply
Yes, students can submit applications to multiple positions, however we encourage students to only apply to positions that spark their interest.
