Is your water use in British Columbia sustainable?

We share concerns about the drought conditions in parts of B.C. In total, we withdraw less than 1% of the available groundwater in the Kawkawa Lake aquifer.

We monitor our groundwater withdrawals daily, as well as associated water resource indicators (such as aquifer levels, spring flows and surface water levels) to ensure long term-sustainability of the watershed and the associated ecosystems. This level of management and monitoring allows us to responsibly manage our spring water resources and monitor how the surrounding environment and water supplies respond to our activities.

Each year we publicly report on our withdrawals and monitor data in an annual hydrologic monitoring report. These reports conclude that Nestlé Waters Canada has had no material impact on the Kawkawa groundwater aquifer in the 15-year history of its operations.
