Nestlé Canada Voluntarily Recalls Select Buitoni Pizza Varieties

As a precautionary measure, Nestlé Canada is voluntarily recalling five of six Buitoni Pizza Varieties with the following production code printed on the side of the box:
 

This recall does not include the Buitoni Vegetale Grille variety. No other Nestlé Canada retail or Nestlé Professional food service products are affected by this recall.

The recall is due to the potential that the pizza in these product batches may contain small pieces of metal. While there have been no consumer complaints in Canada, with an abundance of caution, we are voluntarily conducting this recall due to two consumer complaints in Europe.

We have informed the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and communicated our decision to recall the product. We are immediately informing all of our customers who received these production codes and arranging for all product to be removed from shelves.  

We are also advising consumers who have purchased any of the above products to not consume products with production codes above, dispose of the product and call 1-866-891-0561 for reimbursement.
