Nestlé Canada welcomes Jeff Hamilton as President and Chief Executive Officer effective August 1, 2018.
Jeff Hamilton, previously President, Nestlé Foods Division at Nestlé USA, originally joined Nestlé Purina Petcare in the U.S. in 1991 in sales and later marketing. As his career evolved, he subsequently worked in Vevey, Switzerland and Australia before coming to Canada in 2012 to eventually lead Nestlé Purina Petcare. In 2014, he was appointed President of Prepared Foods at Nestlé USA and in 2017, he took on the leadership of the entire Foods Division and led the integration of the Pizza Division with Prepared Foods. Jeff’s breadth of experience and his commitment to people and results make him the ideal choice to lead Nestlé Canada.
Jeff replaces Shelley Martin, who had a 28-year career at Nestlé Canada where she worked in all businesses including pet care, ice cream, beverages, and confectionery. She was President and CEO for five years and in that time led the company to growth in a flat marketplace. Shelley was twice named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network and received the Food Industry of Canada’s 2017 Golden Pencil Award for her significant contributions to the Canadian food industry and the community.
Jeff is extremely well positioned for this role with his strong track record and multi-business and category leadership experience. He will bring continuity moving forward, will ensure the continued focus on current plans, and will enhance the direction with his own vision for the future.
