March is National Nutrition Month and Nestlé Canada is excited to be getting involved! For over 30 years, Dietitians of Canada has dedicated the month of March to celebrate how dietitians help Canadians use food to improve health and inspire wellness. This year’s theme, Unlock the Potential of Food, highlights how food plays an essential role in enhancing lives, improving health, inspiring children, fueling activities and bringing people together.
This year, Nutrition Month follows the release of the new Canada’s Food Guide, which provides advice for Canadians to integrate healthy foods and behaviours into their everyday lives. Nestlé Canada is excited to be integrating both themes into their 2019 Nutrition Month campaign with a variety of engaging employee wellness activities and challenges. Nestlé’s internal Nutrition, Health & Wellness team, all of whom are Registered Dietitians, will be empowering and supporting our employees to Unlock the Potential of Food through a healthy eating challenge, cooking classes, and more! Nestlé Canada highly values the expertise of Registered Dietitians, and currently employs dietitians in a variety of roles across the Canadian market. We believe in a lifestyle that includes a balanced diet, proper nutrition and physical activity, while making life pleasurable with products that are both nutritious and delicious.
At Nestlé, we are passionate about fulfilling our Purpose of enhancing quality of life and contributing to a healthier future. That’s why, one of our key pillars is focused on how we can enable healthier and happier lives for Canadians – through offering tastier and healthier choices, inspiring people to lead healthier lives and building, sharing & applying nutrition knowledge.
