How do I know which of your products are Made or Prepared in Canada?

Nestlé is proud to be a Swiss-multinational company that provides a diverse range of products to Canadians, sourced from both local and global markets. For over a century, Nestlé Canada has played a significant role in the Canadian landscape, contributing to the economy through substantial investments and the sourcing of local ingredients. We employ over 3,500 individuals across the country, including those at our Ontario-based confectionery and ice cream factories, and we take pride in the role our cherished brands have played in Canadian households for generations.

MADE IN CANADA

A "Made in Canada" claim with a qualifying statement can be used on a food product when the last substantial transformation of the product occurred in Canada, even if some ingredients are imported.

DRUMSTICK and HÄAGEN-DAZS are proudly Made in Canada at our Ice Cream Factory, located in London, Ontario, that boasts over 700 employees dedicated to producing our ice-cream and frozen treats, using 100% Canadian sourced dairy.

PREPARED IN CANADA

"Prepared in Canada" describes a food which has been entirely prepared in Canada.

Our Confectionery Factory located in Toronto, Ontario, employs over 500 people and is home to the only certified peanut-free Nestlé plant in North America. The factory proudly prepares some of Canada’s favourite chocolate bars including AERO, COFFEE CRISP, KITKAT and SMARTIES.

We encourage our consumers to view information printed on labels to identify our products that are made and manufactured in Canada as well as the websites of their favourite Nestlé brands.  With two factories in Canada and partnerships with other local co-manufacturers, many of our products are Canadian-made and we encourage our consumers to get to know our products better.
