Explore our Employee Resource Groups

In Canada, Nestlé efforts are centered in four focus areas within Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: gender balance, people with disabilities, 2SLGBTQI+ community and race & ethnicity. To support our efforts, we have five employee resource groups that provide opportunities to enhance employees' experiences through fostering awareness, promoting allyship, facilitating inclusive growth opportunities, and aligning with business goals at every stage of the employee lifecycle.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in action

At Nestlé Canada, we are committed to promoting DE&I through our actions and by nurturing an inclusive environment both within our workplace and in the wider community.

Toronto Pride Parade

We stand proud alongside the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and will continue to advocate for a more inclusive society. We annually attend the Toronto Pride Parade to show our unwavering support and celebration of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. At Nestlé, we believe in fostering an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone feels valued and respected. By participating in events like the Toronto Pride Parade, we aim to promote equality, acceptance, and love for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

KitKat Iftar Bar

At Nestlé Canada, we proudly embrace and champion diversity in our offices and factories. In 2023, KitKat introduced a special edition 30-piece KitKat Iftar Bar. This treat was designed to uphold meaningful representation and commemorate the Muslim community’s daily breaking of fast after sundown during Ramadan.

Women in leadership roles

According to a report by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, women in Canada held nearly half of all jobs in 2023, but only about 35% were in management roles. However, at Nestlé Canada, we are proud to share that women hold 56% of our management positions.

Read stories from our women employees and allies:

As a woman in a leadership role, there is such value in opening the door for other women to walk through. However, it is everyone's responsibility to do the same, not just women.

It's not enough to just hold a decision-making position, but rather it's how you inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion to create a culture of belonging, relevance and empowerment.

I think back to my first days at Nestlé Canada and how inspired i was to see the degree of women in leadership roles within the organization.

Fast forward to today, as a woman in a leadership role, there is such value in continuing to inspire and mentor the future generation of women leaders.

There is an element of inclusivity that women leaders bring, and we must continue to uplift others and empower everyone to have their time to shine.

Empowered women, empower women.

It's so important to surround yourself with women that inspire, challenge, and enable you to grow.
For me, having role models at Nestlé to share experiences with, and that i see myself in, has been a huge unlock.

As a woman in leadership role, i am excited to create the space and opportunities for women to thrive, because i know the organization will only be better for it.
Be the spark and the fuel that inspires inclusion everyday!

Male allyship starts with recognizing and acknowledging that women face barriers in the workplace. Educating ourselves and others about the challenges that effect women’s careers and wellbeing is so important when having conversations about how we can create an inclusive and equitable environment.
We’re all accountable.

Listening with authenticity can allow us to question our own unconscious biases and better empower our future women leaders. They bring diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives that make us better as one united Nestlé Canada.

As a global industry leader, what we do matters.
Nestlé has the opportunity to make meaningful change, not just for women at Nestlé, but even within our communities.

The women of Nestlé Canada bring an enhanced creativity, diverse perspective, and improved performance. As an organization, we benefit from this range of experience, perspective and awareness.

It doesn’t happen overnight, but leading positive change over time is an empowering thought in and of itself!

Making an impact

As the world's largest food and beverage company, we want to make a positive impact in the communities in which we live and operate.

With integrated Streams and dedicated representatives within our Sales, Marketing and Operations teams, the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are embedded in how we reach our customers and consumers, and in the way we advertise, package and distribute our products.

We recognize the importance of Indigenous knowledge, culture, and traditions in shaping our understanding of sustainable sourcing, environmental stewardship, and responsible production.

By acknowledging the land and the Indigenous peoples who have cared for it, we strive to honour their ongoing contributions and demonstrate our commitment to reconciliation, respect, and partnership in our efforts to provide quality products to Canadians.
