Don’t miss the coolest event of Summer: the Ice Cream Festival at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum

retour au communiqué de presse
Ottawa, ON

There is no cooler way to celebrate National Ice Cream Day than by coming to the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum on Sunday, July 20, for a day filled with refreshing activities.

Throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to learn how to make delicious treats. They can try their hand at making – and tasting -- ice cream the old-fashioned way, using a manual ice cream maker. They can go back in time to the 1950s and rediscover soda fountain shops’ delicious milkshakes. They can also discover how delicious ice cream is on different pastries, whether it’s on waffle cones, or sandwiched between whoopiee cookies. What’s a whoopiee cookie, you ask? Come and find out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!

There will also be fun learning activities, of course, like taking the ice cream quiz, or learning how cream is separated from milk, or following the journey from the cow to the ice cream cone with the Dairy Farmers of Ontario.

The Ice Cream Festival is presented by Nestlé Canada. Come and enjoy a free frozen treat during the festival. (While quantities last.)
